2025 League play takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the season begins April 5 thru November 12. Tee times will be scheduled through golf genius. USGA and New 2023 Local Rules Apply.
If tournaments are your game, we have lots of options for members to engage. We host 9 tournaments at our home course at Piedmont Club, we participate in inter-league play through ARFAX, Career Women's Group (CWG) and Home-to-Home events.
This year the PLGA joined the ARFAX league which includes 19 other women golf clubs located in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William Counties. This league hosts a season long interleague competition as well as many tournaments. If interested, please contact Kim Wiedemann or Vivi Tran-Chu
CWG is a match play league which provides competitive play opportunities on Sundays for women who cannot play during the week and enjoy competition with a friendly aspect. For each Match, a Club has four, 2-person fourball teams (8 players total) – two “A” teams and two “B” teams. One “A” team and one “B” team play at each Club (home an
CWG is a match play league which provides competitive play opportunities on Sundays for women who cannot play during the week and enjoy competition with a friendly aspect. For each Match, a Club has four, 2-person fourball teams (8 players total) – two “A” teams and two “B” teams. One “A” team and one “B” team play at each Club (home and away) on the same date. Tee times are at approximately noon on a Sunday with a brief social with appetizers and drinks afterwards. “A” players have an index up to 19.9; B players have an index of 20.0 – 36.0 with a cap of 32.0.
H2H tournaments are a great opportunity for those looking to play other clubs in a friendly, low pressure competitive setting. Seventeen clubs belong to the H2H league. Each Club sends 6-8 golfers who are paired together in teams/foursomes. All handicap levels up to 35 GHIN are welcome. A morning shotgun format has teams playing a scram

A morning shotgun format has teams playing a scramble, best ball (net) or similar format. Usually magic putts, mulligans, and sandies (free throw from a bunker) can be purchased at registration. There is always lunch and prizes immediately following the round!
